بے وفا دنیا پے مت کر اعتبار
Do not trust the world of treachery
تو اچانک موت کا ہوگا شکار
Death will come upon you suddenly one day
ایک دن مرنا ہے آخر موت ہے
You will die one day for death is certain
کر لے جو کرنا ہے آخر موت ہے
Do what you may but death is certain
نادان اے مسلماں تو کتنا بے خبر ہے
You naïve Muslim, you are so oblivious
اک دن ہے تجھ کو مرنا مشکل ترا سفر ہے
One day you will die, and the journey is a hard one
دنیا کی الفتوں میں کیوں کر گِرا ہوا ہے
Why are you entangled in the love of this world?
آ چل خدا کی جانب بہتر اسی کا در ہے
Come towards God for his house is the best one
آتی ہیں قبر سے بھی ہردم یہی سداٸیں
The same sounds emanate from every grave
غافل رہو نہ مجھ سے،یہ تیری رہ گزر ہے
Do not forget me, this is your final path
ہے مال و زر کی چاہت اور حُبِّ غیر محرم
You covet after money, wealth, and the love of forbidden beings
حُبِّ خدا سے دوری، عشقِ نبی کدھر ہے؟
Yet you are far from God, where is your love for the Prophet (PBUH)?
شیطاں کی راہ چھوڑو مولا سے رشتہ جوڑو
Leave the way of the devil and strengthen your bond with the Lord
کرلو پرہیزگاری ہشیار تو اگر ہے
Become pious and observant if you are truly wise
محشر میں ہوں گے تنہا سب لوگ یوں بچھڑ کر
On the Day of Judgement all will be scattered and lonely
ہر لمحہ قیامت کا، ہر راہ پرخطر ہے
Every moment is precarious, and on every path lurks danger
سجاد عاصی مولا! حاضر ہے تیرے در پر
Oh, Lord! The supplicant Sajjad is present at your doorstep
آنکھیں جھکی ہوٸ ہیں، اپنا جھکایا سر ہے
With my gaze lowered and head bowed low
