We are immersed in errors
یوں شرم سے ہیں سر بھی خم
And our heads hang in shame
کریم ہے تو کر کرم
You are the Merciful One, show Your Mercy
ہوں ختم پھر ہمارے غم
So that our sorrows come to an end
میں بوجھ کاندھوں پہ لادکر
I carry a burden in my shoulders
شکست خوردہ ہوں در بدر
Wander defeated here and there
بلا لے مجھ کو تو اپنے در
Call me to Your doorstep
مری حیات میں ہو سحر
Towards a new dawn of my life
ترا ہو گھر، کہوں اذاں
I’ll give the call to prayer in Your house
ترا ہو در، مری فغاں
I’ll plead in Your house
تری ہو حمد، مری زباں
I’ll recite your praise with my lips
اسی میں جائے میری جاں
May I depart in such a state
عروج دے یا زوال دے
You grant success and decline
جسے تو چاہے کمال دے
You grant wonders to whom You please
بدی کی راہ پہ ڈال دے
You can put someone on the path to evil
یا نیک زیست میں ڈھال دے
Or mould their lives in piety
تری ثناء میں ہیں نغمہ زن
Songs of Your praise are all around
یہ کائنات کے سب چمن
Ringing throughout the gardens of this universe
ہیں تیرے ذکر سے خندہ زن
They are smiling in Your praise
یہ اپنا بھولے نہیں مشن
They have not forgotten their mission
ترا جمال جمال ہے
Your beauty is the most beautiful
ترا کمال کمال ہے
Your wonders the most wondrous
ترے علاوہ زوال ہے
Without You everything is in decline
کرم کا تجھ سے سوال ہے
We ask of Your Mercy
سبھی جہاں کا الٰہ تو
You are the God of the universe
مکیں مکاں کا الٰہ تو
You are the God of all places
زمیں زماں کا الٰہ تو
You are the God of all lands
ہر ایک جاں کا الٰہ تو
You are the God of every being
تری چہار سو جستجو
All around is Your effort
ہے کائنات کا ذکر، ھُو
All creation recites Your praise
تری عبادتیں کو بہ کو
Everything worships You
ہمیں یہ حکم ہے اُعبُدُوا
We have been commanded to worship You
عطا کیا مہِ صیام
You gave us the month of fasting
ہے جس میں خوب انتظام
In which there are abundant arrangements
ہے دن کو روزہ شب قیام
We fast in the day and worship at night
رہا ترا کرم مدام
Under Your blessed mercy
اسی کے صدقے اے خدا
For this sake alone, O Lord
مٹا ہماری ہر خطا
Wash away our sins
کرم کی بھیک مانگتا
Begging for Your mercy
کرے یہ صارِم التجا
Sarim stands before You helplessly
