فاصلوں کو تکلف ہے ہم سے اگر
If the long distance have created hesitation
ہم بھی بے بس نہیں بے سہارا نہیں
Tell them we are neither helpless nor needy
خود ان ہی کو پکاریں گے ہم دور سے
We will seek help from Him from far
راستے میں اگر پاؤں تھک جائیں گے
If our feets give up on the way
ہم مدینے میں تنہا نکل جائیں گے
We will roam alone in Medina
اور گلیوں میں قصداً بھٹک جائیں گے
We will purposely get lost in its alleys
ہم وہاں جا کے واپس نہیں آئیں گے
Once we reach there, we won’t come back
ڈھونڈتے ڈھونڈتے لوگ تھک جائیں گے
People will try their best, but won’t find us
جیسے ہی سبز گنبد نظر آئے گا
As soon as we see the green-colored minaret
بندگی کا قرینہ بدل جائے گا
The mode of prayers will change
سر جھکانے کی فرصت ملے گی کسے
We won’t have time to prostrate
خود ہی پلکوں سے سجدے ٹپک جائیں گے
Instead tears will drop from our eyes
فاصلوں کو تکلف ہے ہم سے اگر
If the long distance have created hesitation
ہم بھی بے بس نہیں بے سہارا نہیں
Tell them we are neither helpless nor needy
نام آقا جہاں بھی لیا جائے گا
Wherever the Lord’s name shall be mentioned
ذکر اُن کا جہاں بھی کیا جائے گا
Wherever His remembrance shall be made
نور ہی نور سینوں میں بھر جائے گا
Our hearts will be filled with the blessed light
ساری محفل میں جلوے لپک جائیں گے
And the entire surrounding will be filled with the holy light
اے مدینے کے زائر! خدا کے لئے
Hey you fortunate visitor to Medina
داستانِ سفر مجھ کو یوں مت سنا
Don’t mention to me the story of your trip
دل تڑپ جائے گا، بات بڑھ جائے گی
It will fill my heart with grief
میرے محتاط آنسو چھلک جائیں گے
And my desperate tears will start flowing again
ان کی چشمِ کرم کو ہے اس کی خبر
Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) benevolent eyes knows
کس مسافر کو ہے کتنا شوقِ سفر
Which visitor is desperately waiting to come to Medina
ہم کو اقبال جب بھی اجازت ملی
Iqbal! Whenever granted permission
ہم بھی آقا کے دربار تک جا ئیں گے
We will visit the holy place of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
