ہم کیا جانے کبیرہ ہے یا صغیرہ ہے
It is immaterial whether they are minor or major
ہمارے پاس گناہوں کا ذخیرہ ہے
For we have heaps upon heaps of sins
گناہوں کی سیاہی سے دلوں پے جو چڑھی کالک
Our hearts have been blackened with the stains of our sins
وہ سارے داغ چہروں پے عیاں ہوتے تو کیا ہوتا
What would happen if they became visible on our face
چھپا رکھا ہے پردوں میں تیری رحمت نے میرے مولا
Your grace has kept them hidden from the world, O Lord
خد سارے گناہ جو ہیں وہ بیاں ہوتے تو کیا ہوتا
What would happen if each of these sins told their tales
اپنے ہاتھوں سے زخموں کو چھیلا ہے
We have made our wounds even worse
خلوت اپنی کہاں اتنی پاکیزہ ہے
We are not so pure in solitude
تیری بادشاہت تو لازوال ہے یا رب
Your patience is limitless, O Lord
کرم کا تیرے سایہ یہ نا ہوتا تو کیا ہوتا
What would we do if it were not for the shade of Your kindness
ہم جیسے گناہگاروں پے اب تیری عطا یا رب
You continue to bless sinners like us
رحم تیرا جو چھایا ہے یہ نا ہوتا تو کیا ہوتا
What would we do were it not for Your mercy
شرم سے آنکھ ہماری آبدیدہ ہے
Our eyes are teary with shame
غموں نے آکے دل کو ایسے گھیرا ہے
Sadness has gripped our hearts in such a way
