بیقراری کی اذیت نے ہمیں رسوا کیا
The agony of restlessness disgraced us
غیر محرم سے تعلق مبتلاءِ غم ہوا
We became afflicted with sorrow from a forbidden relationship
حسن فانی کی معیت نے ہمیں رسوا کیا
The company of mortal beauty has disgraced us
ہے بظاہر پارسائی باطناً کچھ بھی نہیں
It is apparent piety, but inwardly nothing
اس دکھاوے کی محبت نے ہمیں رسوا کیا
This love of pretense has disgraced us
محسنِ انسانیت سے بے وفائی روز و شب
We are unfaithful to the benefactor of humanity day and night
نفس و شیطاں کی اطاعت نے ہمیں رسوا کیا
Obedience to the self and the devil disgraced us
ایک دوجے کو ہیں تکتے یوں سرِ بازار ہم
We openly gaze at each other like this.
ان نگاہوں کی خیانت نے ہمیں رسوا کیا
The treachery of those glances disgraced us.
بے سکونی اور تباہی رات تنہائی میں ہے
Restlessness and destruction are in the night of loneliness
دل لگی کی اس حماقت نے ہمیں رسوا کیا
The folly of attachment disgraced us.
خوابِ غفلت میں گزاری زندگی بے نور سی
Life spent in the dream of negligence is lightless
پھر موبائل کی نجاست نے ہمیں رسوا کیا
Then the filth of the mobile phone has disgraced us.
با وفا ہونا تھا رب کا ہوگئے ہم بے وفا
We had to be faithful, we became unfaithful to the Lord
نورِ سنت سے بغاوت نے ہمیں رسوا کیا
Rebellion against the light of Sunnah has disgraced us
