دنیا میں مست رہنا کیا یہ ہی بندگی ہے
Is it worship to become engrossed in this world?
رب کو نہ یاد کرنا کیا یہ ہی بندگی ہے
Is it worship not to remember your Creator?
رب نے وجود تجھکوبخشا بہت نرالا
The Creator blessed you with a unique existence
مقصود بندگی ہے مقصد ہے لا الہ کا
The goal of worship is to practice the Oneness of ALLAH
در رب کا تو نے چھوڑا کیا یہ ہی بندگی ہے
Is it worship to leave the doorstep of your Creator?
آوارگی میں تجھ کودولت لگاتے دیکھا
You were seen wasting wealth in vagaries
عریانیت کی راہیں تجھ کوسجاتے دیکھا
You were seen adorning the streets of shamelessness
رب سے نہیں تو ڈرتاکیا یہ ہی بندگی ہے
Is it worship to stop fearing the Creator?
نعمت خدا کی تجھ پر ہر وقت ہیں نچھاور
You continue to be showered with the blessings of the Lord
احسان اس کا دیکھوکیسےعیاں ہے تجھ پر
See how obvious is His love for you
پھر بھی تو اسکو بھولا کیا یہ ہی بندگی ہے
Is it worship to have forgotten him despite all this?
عزت اُسی سے ملتی ذلت بھی وہ ہی دیتا
He alone gives respect and humiliation
سب کچھ ہے اسکے قبضے ہر کچھ وہی بناتا
Everything is in His control and of His making
غیروں کے آگے جھکنا کیا یہ ہی بندگی ہے
Is it worship then to bow before others?
دولت کو اپنے گھر میں بھرتا ہے بے تحاشہ
You fill your house with immense wealth
مسکین کا تو حق بھی کھاتا ہے بے تحاشہ
You usurp the rights of the destitute endlessly
دیتا نہیں تو صدقہ کیا یہ ہی بندگی ہے
Is it worship not to pay alms?
اے زین تیری آنکھیں تکتی ہیں غیر محرم
Zain, your eyes gaze at the forbidden ones
شرم و حیا کی چادر تجھ پر نہیں ہے کیونکر
You do not accept the veil of modesty
بہنوں پہ نظریں رکھنا کیا یہ ہی بندگی ہے
Is it worship to have designs on your sisters?
