بے دین مقابل ہوں تو علماء کا ساتھ دو
If there is a competition with the nonbelievers, then support the scholars.
جب سامنے باطل ہوں تو علماء کا ساتھ دو
When the front is false, support the scholars
قرآن و احادیث کو دل کی نظر سے پڑھ
Read the Qur’an and Ahadith from the heart.
علماء کے فضائل ہوں تو علماء کا ساتھ دو
If the scholars have virtues, then support the scholars.
اُمت کی فکر چھوڑ کے حُکّامِ مملکت
Leaving the worries of the Ummah, the rulers of the state.
جب دائمی بزدل ہوں تو علماء کا ساتھ دو
If they are perpetual cowards, support the scholars
دنیا کی محبت میں پڑے رہبرانِ قوم
Leaders of the nation; in love with the world.
بے رغبتِ منزل ہوں تو علماء کا ساتھ دو
If they are reluctant to go, then support the scholars
جن کے سُپرد پہرہِ گلشن ہو دوستو!
Friends! those who are the supposed to guard the Garden.
وہ زینتِ محفل ہوں تو علماء کا ساتھ دو
If they are the adornment of the party, then join the scholars.
اپنوں کو ڈرانے میں مگن رہنے کے شوقیں
Eager to scare your loved ones.
اغیار سے غافل ہوں تو علماء کا ساتھ دو
If they are unaware of enemies, then support the scholars
جو لوگ حقارت سے اکابر کو پکاریں
Those who call on the great with contempt.
خود اُجرتی قاتل ہوں توعلماء کاساتھ دو
If they are hired to killer, join the scholars.
بدخصلتوں کی طرزِحکومت کی وجہ سے
Because of the bad governance.
ہر سمت مسائل ہوں تو علماء کا ساتھ دو
If there are problems everywhere, then support the scholars
علمائے دیں کا فاسق و فُجّار کی رد میں
In response to the debauchery of the scholars.
مضبوط دلائل ہوں تو علماء کا ساتھ دو
If you have strong arguments, then support the scholars.
ہدہد کبھی بھی اہلٍ مدارس کے مقابل
Hudhud never compete with the people of the madrassas.
حمّاد کبھی بھی اہلٍ مدارس کے مقابل
Hammad never compete with the people of the madrassas.
اس قوم کےجاہل ہوں توعلماء کاساتھ دو
If they are ignorant from that nation, join the scholars.
