فتنہءِ عشق میں مُبتلا ہوگئے
Deep in the mischief of love we fell
اجنبی راستوں میں فَنا ہوگئے
And lost ourselves in paths unknown
جانتے ہیں سبھی پَر نہ مانے کوئی
Few will say it though they know
اِس موبائل سے ہم بے حیا ہوگئے
We lost our shame to the mobile phone
جانِ من، جانِ جاں، آپ سے پیار ہے
My love, love of my life, I love you
روز و شب رسمی جملوں کی تکرار ہے
Day and night hollow promises are exchanged
رسمی جملوں کی زد میں کئی مرد و زن
Many men and women were duped by these
نفس و شیطان کے ہمنوا ہوگئے
And went closer to the devil and the self
غیر محرم کے غم میں پریشان ہیں
Obsessed with thoughts of forbidden strangers
دورِ حاضر کے ایسے مسلمان ہیں
Such have the Muslims become today
بدنگاہی کی غلطی کو دہرا کے ہم
They repeat the sins of lustful gazing
اپنے حق میں ہی خود بَد دُعا ہوگئے
And cast curses upon themselves
ہمسفر ڈھونڈنے کی لگن میں مگن
In vain pursuit of a soul mate
ایک دُلہا بنا اک بنی ہے دلہن
These so-called grooms and so-called brides
یہ تصور کی دنیا کے غافل مکیں
Gave in to the lure of fantasy
اختلاطی بَحر میں فنا ہوگئے
Until such relations consumed them
جانتے ہیں شریعت میں معیوب ہے
Knowing well that they violate God’s will
وہ تعلق ہمیں آج محبوب ہے
We hold such relationships dear
اِس موبائل کی لَت میں کئی پارسا
The mobile addiction has destroyed the pious so
عالم و عالمہ کیا سے کیا ہوگئے
Even the wise and learned are now unrecognizable
اب تلاوت میں کیوں وہ حلاوت نہیں
Why does recitation no longer move us
بے سکوں دل میں پہلی سی راحت نہیں
Why does the restless heart not feel comforted as before
ذکر کے نور کی دل میں آمد نہیں
Dhikr no longer illuminates the heart
خوشنما ذہن و دل بَد نُما ہوگئے
So corrupted are now the once noble souls
جن کے سینوں کو قرآں کی زینت مِلی
Those who housed the Qur’an in their hearts
جن کو علمِ نبوت کی نسبت مِلی
Who were guided by the Prophet’s teachings
صدقہءِ دین دنیا میں عزت مِلی
Who earned respect in the service of religion
کیسے بولوں وہ نظرِ وَبا ہوگئے
How they vanished is unspeakable
غیر محرم کے غم میں جو غمگین ہیں
Those who languish in thoughts of forbidden strangers
ظاہراً نیک اندر سے بے دین ہیں
Although outwardly pious, are in reality corrupted
خالقِ دل کو دل میں بَساتے نہیں
They’ve shut their hears to the Creator
میرے اشعار سے وہ خفا ہوگئے
And feel offended by my verses
