ہم نے دیکھے ہیں دنیا میں کتنے سخی
There have been so many generous souls in this world
ان سا پایا نہ لیکن کوئی بھی غنی
But none so bountiful as him
ایک قصہ سناتا ہوں عثمانؓ کا
Let me tell a story about Usman (RA)
جانشینِ عمرؓ ، دین کی شان کا
The heir of Umar (RA), the glory of the religion
بات یوں ہے کہ اسلام کے واسطے
The story goes that when for Islam
جب مسلماں مدینے میں تھے آبسے
The Muslims had come to stay in Madina
ان کو آیا موافق نہ پانی یہاں
They could not find enough water
سو یوں دقت میں تھی زندگانی یہاں
And so living there became quite hard for them
اک کنواں میٹھے پانی کا تھا بھی سہی
There was a well of sweet water
اس کا مالک یہودی تھا لیکن کوئی
But it was owned by a Jew
پیارے آقاؐ نے اک دن یہ اعلاں کیا
One day, our Master (PBUH) made an announcement
قلبِ عثمانؓ کو جس نے شاداں کیا
Which opened up the heart of Usman (RA)
جو مسلمانوں کو یہ دلادے کنواں
Whoever can get this well for the Muslims
اس سے جنت کا وعدہ ہے میرا یہاں
I promise him the gift of Paradise
پہنچے عثمانؓ فوراََ یہودی کے پاس
So Usman (RA) went immediately to the house of the Jew
اس کو سودا نہ آیا مگر ایسے راس
But he did not accept the bargain
عود آئی یہودی کی فوراََ ہوس
The Jew became greedy
اور سودے میں کی اس نےپھر پیش و پس
And began to waver in negotiation
آخرِ کار طے پائے بارہ ہزار
In the end they agreed on twelve thousand dirhams
سکے درہم کے ، مسلم ہوئے خوش گوار
And the Muslims were delighted
ایک دن لیتے پانی مسلمان واں
One day the Muslims would take water from the well
اگلے دن دیکھتا وہ یہودی ، کنواں
And the next day the Jew would stare at his well
دیکھا جب اس نے گھاٹے میں ہے رومہ اب
When he saw that his share in the well was going in loss
بیچا فورا ہی عثمانؓ کو جا کے تب
He went and sold that too to Usman (RA)
یوں مسلمانوں کو پھر سہولت ملی
And so the Muslims were at complete ease
اور غنیؓ کو کہا آقاؐ نے جنتی
And the Master (PBUH) proclaimed Ghani (RA) one for Paradise
آج بھی ہے ضرورت کہیں آب کی
Water is needed here even today
چاہیے ہے مدد آپ احباب کی
The help of friends is needed even today
تھر میں ہے موت رقصاں توجہ کرو
Death dances in Thar, pay attention
روز مرتے ہیں انساں توجہ کرو
People die there every day, pay attention
تم کو جنت کے چشمے ملیں گے ضرور
You will definitely get the streams of Paradise
اٹھ کھڑے ہو مرے دوستو ، باشعور
Rise, my keenly aware friends
