اسیرِ ہوس رات بھر جاگتے ہیں
Trapped in lust they stay up all night
موباںٔل پہ رَکّھے نظر جاگتے ہیں
Never leaving their mobile out of sight
نگاہوں سے تقوی کے پہرے ہٹاکر
Casting away the shield of piety from their eyes
تقاضاۓ دیدار پر جاگتے ہیں
They stay awake to show themselves on request
پریشان کیسے نہ ہوں جو ہَوَس کو
How can they not be distressed who lie awake
تمناۓ دل بول کر جاگتے ہیں
Mistaking lust for the heart’s true desire
گناہوں کی آلودگی سے متاثر
Hearts that become polluted with sins
دلِ بے سُکوں بے صبر جاگتے ہیں
Make one sleepless, restless and uneasy
دلِ خوش فہم کی خیالی ملن کے
In vain hopes and visions of their union
تصّورمیں دو ہم سفر جاگتے ہیں
The two companions stay awake
محلے میں دفتر میں گھر میں سفر میں
In the town quarter or at work, at home or while traveling
براۓ حَسین در بدر جاگتے ہیں
The miserable lose sleep in pursuit of beauty
