اے شاہ مدینہ فقیرعجم ہوں
O Ruler of Madinah, I am a mendicant from afar
غموں میں گھرا ہوں اسیر الم ہوں
Surrounded by woes, I am captive to my own grief
مجھے اپنی رحمت کے سائے میں لے لے
Take me into the shade of your mercy
محمدﷺ محمدﷺ مری روح بولے
So that my soul calls out, ‘Muhammad, Muhammad!’
یہ دنیا بھی کیا ہے یہ کرب و بلا ہے
What is this world if not pain and torture
نہیں سکھ یہاں پر یہ دکھ کی جگہ ہے
There is no peace here, it is a place of distress
مجھے اپنی رحمت کے سائے میں لے لے
Take me into the shade of your mercy
محمدﷺ محمدﷺ مری روح بولے
So that my soul calls out, ‘Muhammad, Muhammad!’
ہر اک سمت تاریکیاں ہیں جہاں میں
Darkness lies ahead in all directions
گھرا ہوں عجب در عجب امتحاں میں
We face trials one after another
مجھے اپنی رحمت کے سائے میں لے لے
Take me into the shade of your mercy
محمدﷺ محمدﷺ مری روح بولے
So that my soul calls out, ‘Muhammad, Muhammad!’
یہاں بھی وہاں بھی ترا آسرا ہے
We need your support here as well as there
تو ہی دردمندوں کے دل کی دوا ہے
You alone can heal our broken hearts
مجھے اپنی رحمت کے سائے میں لے لے
Take me into the shade of your mercy
محمدﷺ محمدﷺ مری روح بولے
So that my soul calls out, ‘Muhammad, Muhammad!’
بتا تاج کب تک بھٹکتا رہوں گا
Tell me Taj, how long will I wander like this
جو باقی عمر ہے میں کہتا رہوں گا
For the rest of my life I will say
مجھے اپنی رحمت کے سائے میں لے لے
